Gray Malin Phone Cases

gray-malin-phone-cases So, after months and months, I am back on the blog today. My day job has been putting me a little at sorts with the blog. But, nonetheless, I am trying to get back to posting and curating about things I love and find exciting. After seeing these adorable Gray Malin iPhone cases this week, I knew I had to share them. I have been a long time lover of Gray Malin, if you have see my gallery wall here, and other works of his around my home. Now, I can’t wait to carry a little piece of his work around with me all the time! Shopbop is now carrying Gray Malin art + accessories – even shoes! I’m so obsessed with anything with flamingos at the moment – especially this Gray Malin piece + this inflatable flamingo from Shopbop. Don’t these items just scream summer? See iPhone 6 covers listed below:

The Brice

After my trip from France, I had a welcome home dinner / family celebration of my cousin’s pregnancy at The Brice Hotel. We ate at Pacci, located inside The Brice, and it was dee-lish-ous! Roberto Leoci’s “Leoci’s” has been a local favorite of mine for a while, as I am addicted to their Truffle Sachetti, so I expected it to be scrumptious with him as Executive Chef of Pacci. I had the Pesto Gnocchi, and it was tasty, but my aunt’s Striped Bass Mediterraneo – wow. I absolutely cannot wait to go back.

For those of you who don’t know, The Brice is a new Kimpton Hotel in Savannah. When I heard a Kimpton Hotel was coming to Savannah, I naturally was so excited because I have been a long-time lover of Kimpton Hotels. The Lumen and The Palomar in Dallas are some of my favorite hotels. When I was a freshman at SMU, my dorm was 50 feet away from The Lumen, where my parents would always stay. The Lumen has had a major renovation which I am so impressed with, not that it wasn’t great before, but the addition of the new restaurant and pool area is great for SMU and the Park Cities area! I also absolutely love Hotel Monaco, another Kimpton, in Washington D.C. So yes, basically Kimpton is fabulous and knows exactly what they are doing decor and service-wise. There is something so much more comfortable and personable about a boutique hotel. The Brice has many little intimate rooms and nooks that I can’t wait to explore more – and I also heard there is a little garden/patio area I need to check out. Will report back with more details!

Weekend Recap

weekend-recap

My weekend was filled with sunshine and some much needed downtime. It has rained in Savannah nearly every afternoon for the past few weekends, so some time at the Forsyth Farmer’s Market and at the beach was a great treat. I love the Forsyth Farmer’s Market and picked up a homemade strawberry popsicle from Ice Pop Peddler’s, some fresh meats from Hunter Cattle Co., homemade pasta from Frali, produce, and much more. After that, I headed to a day party at Tybee Island where we had fun in the sun and stayed for a band on the beach at night. After some Sunday pooltime, I spent some time with my mom looking at home decor magazines and indulging in a cheeseboard I compiled made up of bread & cheese from the Farmer’s market, cured meats, and cornichons.

Later on Sunday, I went to dinner at Garibaldi’s and passed the new kate spade new york store on the way. It was after hours, but I window shopped and cannot wait to go in this week. So excited that Savannah has yet another big name on Broughton! How was your weekend? Hope it was fab! xx

More Summer Soiree Photos

summer-soiree-outfit Last week, I posted here about my Guide to a Summer Soiree in Sweet Lemon Magazine. We shot so many photos from this event that weren’t in Sweet Lemon Magazine, so I thought I’d share some more photos to give a little peek at the whole Summer Soiree. One of my favorite things about the party (besides the mojitos) were the peonies, especially the DIY gold mason jars I made (a special thank you to my friend Halle for helping me arrange the flowers!). You have to check out the magazine article for details on the recipes and DIY! See more photos below, and don’t forget to read the whole article here.

Dressing Gatsby

great_gatsby_party_1 In anticipation of The Great Gatsby movie, I wrote a Guide to Throwing a Gatsby Party for the April/May Issue of Sweet Lemon Magazine. Writing the article, planning the party, and having a little photo shoot with family & friends was so fun… not to mention making the yummy food & drinks! The Great Gatsby is my favorite book, so naturally this was a project that I could really get in to…as I am dying to see the movie. What girl doesn’t love putting on sparkles (like this and these that I wore) & fur and sipping on champagne?  I was disappointed that I couldn’t go to the 10PM show last night, but I am so, so excited to see the movie tomorrow afternoon! What about you? Are you planning to see the movie? In honor of today being the movie’s release, I picked my favorite shots from my Guide to Throwing a Gatsby Party for your perusal.  I also invite you to read the article on pages 114-132 and let me know what you think! Happy Friday! xo, Stefanie
